TripSource by BCD Travel, the mobile app available exclusively to BCD Travel’s client companies and their travellers, has added risk alerts to its offering.

The new TripSource risk alerts advise travellers about potentially risky situations that may have an impact on their trip, by pushing alerts to their mobile phones.

Similar to flight alerts, TripSource risk alerts are one-way ‘warning’ and ‘emergency’ notifications that cover security, weather and transportation events that could disrupt travel. They’re pushed out only to travellers when a location in their itinerary is affected.

Other new TripSource features include:

Online check-in notifications for 26 airlines - notifications are sent to travellers 24 hours in advance of departure to allow them to tap through and check in directly on a carrier’s website or app.

Hotel booking made easier – travellers can save their credit card information to the app for a convenient, secure booking experience.

The TripSource app can be downloaded on to iPhone and Android devices. All BCD Travel itineraries (including air, hotel and ground transportation) are automatically synchronised on to the app. Real-time flights status and gate change alerts are also features of the app, as are maps, directions, and travel reminders.
