Correction: Delta intros basic economy on select routes Today's News

On Wednesday eTNW incorrectly reported that economy passengers on Delta Air Lines would be charged for checked baggage.

Delta Air Lines has introduced restricted basic economy fares on its transatlantic flights.

The fares apply to routes between Europe and North America and do not apply to the South African market.

Passengers travelling in this class will be charged for checked luggage.

This story has been updated to reflect that the new class does not apply to the South African market. eTNW apologises for the error.
