Iberia has opened the newly refurbished Velazquez Premium Lounge in the T4 satellite building at Madrid airport.

The lounge has been expanded by 25% and can now accommodate up to 500 passengers. Unlimited WiFi is available along with USB charging ports built into lounge chairs and restaurant tables. The dining areas are larger and, as well as a traditional restaurant, there will be hot and cold buffets and a ‘Vinotheque’ offering a selection of 22 Spanish regional wines.

Chaise-longues can be found in the rest zones, and there are six shower cabins equipped with all the amenities.

A special children’s area offers television, traditional games, and video game consoles.

“We have made improvements to everything, with special attention to connectivity and food service, for an unrivalled customer experience,” said Iberia’s customer and business transformation director, Gabriel Perdiguero.

The lounge will soon have Smart Touch TVs, informing passengers of services at all times.

The lounge is open 24/7.
