Qatar Airways launches direct Mykonos flight Today's News

Qatar Airways will launch a direct flight to the Greek island of Mykonos, starting May 30.

Four weekly seasonal flights to Mykonos Island National Airport will be operated by an Airbus A320, featuring 12 seats in business class and 132 in economy. Passengers will have access to Oryx One, Qatar Airways’ in-flight entertainment system offering the latest blockbuster movies, TV box sets, music, games and more.

The flight schedule will be:

May 30-July 22 and September 5-30: Flight QR 311 will depart Doha on Wednesdays at 07h05 and arrive in Mykonos at 12h00; return flight, QR 312 will depart Mykonos at 13h00 and arrive in Doha at 17h40. On Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays the flight will depart Doha at 08h05 and arrive in Mykonos at 13h00. The return flight will depart Mykonos at 14h00, arriving in Doha at 18h40.

July 25-September 2: Flight QR311 will depart Doha on Wednesdays at 07h25 and arrive in Mykonos at 12h20; return flight, QR 312, will depart Mykonos at 13h20 and arrive in Doha at 18h00. On Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays the flight will depart Doha 08h05, arriving in Mykonos at 13h00. The return flight will depart Mykonos at 14h00, arriving in Doha at 18h40.

Qatar Airways Group ce, Akbar Al Baker, said: “Mykonos has long been one of our most sought-after European destinations, and we are very proud to be the first Gulf carrier to serve Mykonos directly. The island’s central location among the Cyclades makes it an extremely attractive holiday destination.”

Mykonos will be Qatar’s third destination in Greece after the recent announcement of flights to Thessaloniki, which will start in March. Other new routes planned by the airline for 2018 include Canberra and Cardiff.
