Cathay Pacific has expanded its network with the addition of two new routes linking Hong Kong to Davao City in the southern Philippines and Medan, the capital of North Sumatra in Indonesia.
The new routes are the only non-stop flights between Hong Kong and Davao City and Hong Kong and Medan. Both will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft.

“It has been an unprecedented year of growth for Cathay Pacific from a global perspective, with the Davao City and Medan routes being the eighth and ninth destinations to be added to the Hong Kong hub in 2018 alone,” says Ashish Kapur, country manager – South Africa of Cathay Pacific.

“These new services are a clear reflection of our commitment to making ASEAN destinations more accessible to customers. Cathay Pacific is proud to be the first airline to connect Hong Kong to these two key trade and tourism centres.”

The flight schedule for the Hong Kong-Davao City service from October 28 is as follows: Flight KA347 will depart HKG on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 12h35 and arrive in DVO at 15h50. The return flight, KA348, will depart DVO on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 16h50 and arrive in HKG at 20h00.

The schedule for the Medan route is as follows: Flight KA359 will depart HKG on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 21h50 and arrive in KNO at 00h50 the next day. The return flight, KA358, will depart KNO on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 01h50 and arrive back in HKG at 07h05.
