Travel will be disrupted tomorrow as Storm Hector lands, delaying flights from the north of England and Scotland.

According to The Met Office (the UK weather authority), Hector is currently in the mid-Atlantic tracking northeast towards the UK.  “The storm is expected to move across Northern Ireland early on Thursday morning, before spreading eastwards across Scotland, northern England and north wales.”

The weather authority has issued a yellow weather warning (placing increased emphasis on potential disruption to outdoor activities) for these areas, predicting winds up to 60mph.
