Breaking news: SQ releases alerts due to Typhoon Mangkhut Today's News

Super Typhoon Mangkhut, equivalent to a category five hurricane has hit East and Southeast Asia.

As of now, all Singapore Airlines flights to and from potentially affected stations in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong are continuing to operate as scheduled.

Customers travelling to and from Hong Kong, between Singapore and San Francisco (via Hong Kong) or Hong Kong and San Francisco, between September 15 and September 17 on SIA operated flights may contact their nearest SIA ticket office if they would like to change their travel dates.

Those travelling to and from Guangzhou and Shenzhen between September 15 and September 17  on SIA or SilkAir operated or codeshare flights operated by Shenzhen Airlines, may also contact their nearest SIA/SilkAir ticket office if they would like to rebook to other SIA/SilkAir points in China or change their travel dates.

The new travel date for the all the above mentioned flights should commence on or before October 31.

Travellers are advised to check the airlines website regularly for updates.
